Dr. Shaikh Tanveer Ahmed

Dr. Shaikh Tanveer Ahmed is a leading Public Health and Development Professional, leading a Non-Profit Organization for the last 25 years name Health And Nutrition Development Society (HANDS - Pakistan).

HANDS is one of the country's oldest and largest Non-Profit Development Organizations. HANDS’ strength is 33 branches and 11000 workforce in four provinces’ major cities and towns. HANDS is currently intervening in 57 Districts across Pakistan. HANDS works in the Development sector of Health, Education, Livelihood, Community Infrastructure, and Water Sanitation and has Disaster Management expertise.

Dr. Tanveer is a Medical Doctor and Dow Graduate. He did his Master’s in Public Health (MPH) from Karachi and Fellowship from Public Health Institute Santa Cruze USA. His experience of Working in a donor agency USAID and the Health Department Government of Sindh and then with HANDS gave him extensive knowledge to translate policies into practice.
More than 30 papers are on his credentials, presented at international conferences in different countries. He also wrote 53 publications on Development & Public health issues. His most famous books are 9 Mindsets of Leadership (English), Meer-e-Karwan (Urdu), and Sarwan (Sindhi)
